Hello!

I'm Diane, a surface pattern designer and illustrator based in Walthamstow, north east London. For me everything starts with a pencil drawing, which I then layer with colour and texture using traditional materials; watercolour, coloured pencils and pastels. All these elements are then brought together digitally, which allows me to replicate my love of collage without all the cutting and sticking!

My design training has given me a strong eye for balance and composition, and I love the process of perfecting the layout of a piece. My time as a visual merchandiser also required me to develop an understanding of interpreting a brief and accommodating a clients requirements.
